My humble opinion on Nexon's path.

I would prefer that model too where the Cash Shop only makes your progress faster and slightly more powerful instead of making you a veritable god. In a sense, this game's popularity might have ruined it since such a rip off model would have had difficulty surviving for long in Korea and if players had voted with their feet then we might have seen a very different game today.
