Doflamingo never was my favorite character but I can definitely see why my friends love Doflamingo so much. He's incredibly devious.
Oda's been throwing huge plot twists at us lately, this is wonderful. (◐▽◑
I dunno, it seems like the less we know about a character, the more likely they are to suffer a quick mook death. I wouldn't say Monet's a mook and I'm really interested in learning more about her too, especially considering how she was so loyal to Doflamingo that she was willing to kill herself without hesitation. But that spike through her heart was depicted very graphically. The CP9 weren't killed because Oda has previously answered (I think in an SBS corner?) that Luffy believes shattering his opponents' misguided dreams or beliefs is preferable to outright killing them, but the person who dealt the final blow to Monet in this case wasn't Luffy, it was Caesar, and he was certainly dead set on killing his target. I find it hard to believe that she's still alive after that, eheh. But if Oda does want to bring her back to flesh out the story in the future I'm sure he'll have a good explanation for what happened.

KhainiWest Wrote:It's not Oda's style. Anytime a character dies there's a flashback, or some type of exaggeration to pull pity even from villains. None of the CP9 even died, and we know more about them than we do about Monet
