1-Finding a party that will train when its not x2
2-Waiting for x2 events that happen when you actually have a day off. If you are late for the x2 events all party are full and your out of luck.
3-Your training friends will be 10 levels ahead of you so they wont be training in maps just for you.
4-Losing exp because of lag spikes. After training at 19x and gaining 10% without any x2 you lose it all.
What. I numbered your reasons so I can answer them individually.
1. If you have friends around your level or a guild then you can find parties to train with, although obviously it is easier to train during events.
2. Ok, if you are always busy then clearly you will not be able to train during the peak hours. Good news is, he did not mention anything about having a particularly busy schedule or some prior engagement that would keep him from being able to play a 2x event, so this is irrelevant.
3. If it is so impossible to train without a 2x event then how are your friends training? Btw, he said he is doing 186 -> 200 so his friends would be training at the same place he wants to train, regardless of them being 196+.
4. Losing exp from lag spikes? Oh please. I can't say this really ever happened to me. If you are lagging too hard to train then that is a personal problem and not a training vs. RLH problem.
Sure, RLH may be more convinent, but personally I would rather take my time training and save the NX for upgrading my gears. You said that not being a high enough level to boss is a buzz kill, but he is already 186. He can already go to most bosses in the game, but it now comes down to whether or not he has the dpm to kill said bosses. If you are patient and not in a huge rush to hit 200 then you may as well take your time and save the money. Furthermore if you can't find anything to do in maple, that is your own problem and has little to do with why you should spend nx leveling instead of training.
2 things:
1. He never stated that it was RLH vs. training, so maybe that is my fault at assuming he meant just training with 2x exp cards or things of that nature.
2. If you want to train and also get the totems, that is a different story. If you want both of those things then RLH is the way to go.
