Be prepared to be disappointed. If Laxus can't at least force a draw (Which Mashima already mentioned was his original plan, instead of Mistgun fighting him on the first day, he probably changed his mind about that fight once he decided to remove Mistgun from the tournament after the first day.) then Jura is going to walk around and auto win the games for Lamia scale, which I doubt that Mashima will let happen.
I could totally see Laxus getting a draw though. He already proved last arc that he's stronger than Erza, Natsu, Grey, Wendy and Lucy combined when he was able to fight HAdes and they couldn't, so it's not really a push. It's pretty much confirmed that Laxus is the strongest member of fairy tail, possibly even better than Gildarts.

I hope at least one of these comes to an end next week, because this is only the introduction to one bigger arc and I really want to know whats happening/ will happen.
It's not really fair to call separate fights different plots. I doubt Laxus vs Jura will finish next chapter (The other times this arc we've had a chapter called "X vs y" it's been the 2nd of a 3 part fight).
