I haven't read that book in a year or two.
I dunno, I can understand where people are coming from when they say it's another piece of chicken? But even so, like the other side has said, the person didn't pay for that and was not expecting it to pop up in the first place...
I'd be disgusted too, and I probably wouldn't come back.
Then again, I can live without fast food anyway, so it's not so much of an issue to me.
It's more of an issue to my friends and family who eat at the place.
The thing is the Jungle is pretty much what fueled the creation of an actual health code. Entirely by accident as well! The book was intended to show the poor treatment of workers to advertise socialism. Turns out people are much less interested in worker rights when they find out their food is rotten meat mixed with rats.
