Its basicly impossible to do this without puppet, all other jobs are screwed. Took me about 60 tries to figure out how to do it properly, even bought the hyper teleport rock just to get to the job instructor faster, since it sends you to leafre if you die.

Congrats, and I hope you'll be able to bring us some elusive 4th job info later.
