(I actually agree, I used to eat it all the time when I was younger and thought it was good, it's just some weird ethical code I've developed that keeps me from eating it now)
i've never had it, and probably wouldn't be able to without gagging ._. but my own personal opinion on it's looks as nothing to do with it's taste or nutritional value.
a fun fact is that there's these... uhh... beans? that i love called "arvejas", and a bunch of people don't like them, asking one of them why got me the answer of "it looks like vomit"
after that, the next time i had arvejas i couldn't help but see the comparison, but i knew i liked it and dug in once more. and now i don't have much trouble eating it.
