I think it would have been enough to bring back, maybe not 2007, but 2008. After 4th job but before Cygnus Knights. Maybe even before Pirates.
Training was hard enough, bossing was hard enough. I don't see why it was necessary to make things so much harder than that.
But, then, to each their own? Let the people who enjoy this kind of hellmode, do it.
