Google Fiber

Didn't they have a 10mb plan that was free for 3 years or something crazy like that? That sounds like a good start to global internet for everyone.

In other news;

It's 5Mb/1Mb free for at least 7 years with $300 construction fee (payable as $25 per month for a year or lumpsum). The "at least 7 years" is what is so interesting about it, like Google Voice, which was only supposed to be free for I-forget-how-long I expect them to extend the duration of the internet too. Great for mama, since she only uses it on occasion and still cheaper than the much slower DSL she currently uses.
