I just got back to SP a day or so ago, so I can't say much about the situation with Tyler specifically, but I can say this.
I'm afraid to log in. Simply because I know what it's like to lose years of hardwork, with your company not wanting to work with us, or give any leeway or help to the people who do their best to make this game what it is. My friends and I do not feel like being permabanned just for playing Maplestory, and losing our items/NX/etc etc. I'm sorry to say this, but innocent people are being banned in huge numbers, something wrong is happening.
While, I'm in agreement that people who intentionally exploit a glitch should be punished, the main point everyone is bringing up that even if said glitch was exploited it had no negative effect on the community. What could an SPless adventurer do? Absolutely nothing. If anything, any character created by this was a waste of space that took up a precious character slot that can be used for upcoming classes. Meanwhile, the entire game is ran by hackers. To the point where people in your community are willing to take time out of THEIR day to get rid of them. While some of them do get banned, they merely make new accounts, or get unbanned a month later, and go back to making this game even more unbearable to play.
So really, it's not that people think someone should get unbanned because they would win a popularity contest, it's people being very frustrated that when you guys DO make an "effort" to clean up your game, you're completely ignoring the REAL problems that plague the community.
That all being said, for what is a rather harmless glitch, it was still glitch abuse. A permanent ban was very unjust in my honest opinion. I echo what others said when characters should have been deleted and a 30-day ban should have been the most that was handed out. Although if what you're saying about him is true(the lying and such) I can see why you guys handed out such a hefty punishment.
