Benchmarks also depend on what you're likely to be doing with your graphics card. The best way to choose is to look at benchmarks for the games you play.
Go visit the forums on Guru3d for ATI/AMD drivers and you'll find pages of people with issues. AMD has shitty drivers. That's a fact.
