What's the point? Everyone knows it was an illusion created by Arkarium to create distrust towards Cygnus and scare her away from the World Tree.
What story purpose would it serve for Daimen or whoever to try to defame the Resistance using something that the Alliance already knows to be a false reality?
The Alliance already knows it to be a false reality, that's why you show them a real reality, to distract them from realizing that it's actually happening. It's quite simple actually. Resistance IS evil in present, but are hiding their true nature. So Damien, and Arkarium decide to show you that future in what is already known to be a false reality, so that you think it'll never happen.
I'm just making crap up, but who knows. All we can do is wait and see how the story plays out.
