Probably abundance and rate. Lots more hackers holding lots more mesos compared to the average bossing population.
I would imagine that since hackers have to deal with background checks, Moneypak / Paypal tidbits, communication, and competition it would be slower for the hackers to release their mesos into the economy (maybe all that hassle has partly something to do with how cheap the meso:USD ratio is?)
I was trying to allude to something along the lines of "not everyone is that willing to shell out money for mesos so the actual rate might be slow" but now that I thought about it some more, how quickly people really do buy mesos with real money is a mystery (some days I see "sold out" on meso selling threads, and some days they have like, 10b or something still in stock). Lovely paradoxical situation.

I'd believe this. Not very surprised with the "trickling down" effect, especially when NX sellers are hard to come by. It's analogous to how the real world economy probably operates as well.

Fair enough. I don't doubt that there are mesos to spend, but I will at least argue that because of said hackers and Nexon acting on illicit items it seems to have forced a lot to budget their mesos more carefully now than before. If you want to go as far as calling it a virtual recession even.
