Personally I like it more this way.
For most people it'd be a link skill roulette, see if the Cygnus you made ages ago for the blessing scores a decent link skill!
As it is, you can be sure your blessing mule, should you choose to not play it after the revamp, will be as effective for your main as any other Cygnus.
