I just want job advancements to feel like achievements.
Remember when going Beginner -> 1st job felt like an achievement?
Killing all these things on Maple Island until you could finally take off to Victoria.
Now it's done in a 4 minute tutorial.
Some classes even start at level 10.
Remember when 1st job -> 2nd job felt like an achievement?
People would even compare 1st job mobbing skills between classes.
Somersault Kick hits 6 mobs, sweet!, but shucks, Magic Claw was single-target (I know they fixed this now).
You would actually have enough time between levels to take a break, go back to the city and buy new armors and weapons!
OMG, I'm level 20, now I can go buy level 20 equips to the town shop.
Now you get to level 30 in a breeze, on Golems, with your tutorial weapons and starting clothes.
Remember when getting to 3rd job felt like an achievement?
By then, probably you'd have gone through the hardship of finding a Zakum expedition to roll in, and get the awesome Zakum Helmet for damage and acc!
Now it's no problem getting to 70 using no hat. I've done it.
Level 70 meant you could get a sweet mount, to travel faster than ever!
Now everyone has Flash Jump at first job, and mounts are fashion accessories, most of them cash.
3rd jobbers were recoginized, and it meant a great improvement over your skills, which unlocked new possibilities.
Now the gap between jobs isn't that different. I was training at Jesters at 50, and I was training still at Jesters at 75.
Or just change Jesters to Sand Rabbits.
Remember also when getting to level 100 was an achievement?
People would use smegas to congratulate their friends on triple digits!
Now, 4th job.
With no party play areas it meant a ridiculous amount of grinding. I first got to 4th job back at skeles. I admit it was a bit too much of a pain back then.
But now it means NOTHING!
It could have used some adjustments, but NOT going from months and months of work to get to 4th job, to be able to do it in 19 hours, or for more casual people, in 2-5 days.
The game right now feels rushed.
You rush through everything to 4th job. And then you're welcome to be annoyed by Mastery Books, people 30 levels below you with triple the damage thanks to potential, and the inability to kill any important bosses without lots of funding or knowing people, people you didn't meet on your way to 4th job because it all happened in a heartbeat.
tl;dr The game was very hard, Nexon made it very easy
