wait what?... you consider Unlimited brought the so-wanted-for-the-playerbase difficulty thats been lacking to the game?
Sigh... lets make this clear, multiplying a boss' HP by the tenths, increasing all its stats and reducing the time you get to defeat it IS NOT the right kind of difficulty. that's just a scheme to make more imperative the use of NX for bossing. Want some proof? If they really wanted us to defeat these bosses cooperatively, they wouldn't have buffed said bosses then force a limit of 6 characters per run, they wouldn't have raised, at least not so much, the cap for every single stat we have. There are no regular ways to get your range to 999k, or your HP to 100k, or your accuracy, avoid, defense, and suchm not even half that, so why? because they want you to attempt it.
You know what would be a trully hard boss? A monster akin to Geist Balrog, with enough physical damage to 1HKo you, with just 100m HP, jumping and/or teleporting all around the map. With only 30 mins to defeat it you would struggle between dodging the damn thing and getting an opening to attack/buff, requiring true control of your character and not of your wallet.

Are you refering to those gray cubes and pets? Those cubes aren't even good. I can't recall if they can blow an item but they can downgrade the potential tier. As for the pets believe me, anybody that gets as far as to fight these bosses has got many pets along the way.
