31/1 - Characters' max level is increased to 250!

Because it's supposed to be set in stone. Do you not think expirable item's in maplestory events aren't stupid? Why is this any different? Why invest so much time (back then) into something that would expire with no acknowledgement of the daunting task you achieved. I don't even own a level 200 and I can sympathize those who took the time who did.

This discussion is so far removed from reality it hurts. If you're looking for reward proportional to time investment, you shouldn't be playing an MMO. The reward for hitting level 200 is a pat on the back and a small sense of personal achievement. Sorry, no choir of angels, no big celebration. I don't want to be cynical here, but the entire point of the ranking is just to be a form of self-validation for people who are willing to sit on their ass and hit three buttons for 3000 hours. There is no real or permanent benefit that comes out of it. If you're not having fun on MapleStory and you're treating it as a form of labor, you need to put the game down and seek help.
