"Separate Rankings" is a fancy name for a snapshot of the current (or the night before the 250 patch) rankings. It won't ever update so it doesn't need maintaining, just storing and displaying.
Once upon a time, Eos; had a tool on Southperry for calculating how long people would take to get to 200. It involved downloading the rankings (from level 100 or 120 up) every day. He could probably set up a "200-cap Hall of Fame" on here.
Of course it would be better on the official MapleStory site, but knowing Nexon, they'll lose the data before realizing there is a demand for it.
Touche. Forget all of the arguments going on here for one second; would you SERIOUSLY trust Nexon to actually do this properly after your 509609 or so complaints on their service, their lack of empathy, crappy GMs that don't know a damned thing about the game and assorted other miseries caused by terminal stupidity on their part?
The game I was referring to previously (Glitch) had players cataloguing what meant the most to them when the game shut down and the company was more than happy to keep their avatars up until people could download everything, while some players went the extra mile and made websites to even capture the good-bye messages that people had posted. THAT'S the kind of co-operation I'd need to see to believe that Nexon wouldn't pineapple things up so badly that you'd think it was better that they just didn't even try but I am quite obviously not seeing it.
