Besides, to combat the huge mistake of letting you get to 100% status resistance in the first place, they've started releasing bosses where status resistance doesn't matter at all. Which, if I may say, is just... bad.
Reaching this point and still being one of the strongest dpm classes (kaiser) just deletes the purpose of needing things like hero's will on this char. I can understand that most of these jobs that easily reach high abnormal status resistance is a warrior and have to go up close, but kaiser dont. It really makes me vomit to see how they just spit out all these special mechanics on a link skill, you might aswell make 10% damage reduction like achilles next.
Instead of having skills that give you abnormal status resistance they should rather have a base bonus depending on which job you are.
Example:
Bowman - 25% base
Warrior - 40% (if you have a lot of ranged attacks) 60% if you are pure melee
Magician - 50% if you are bishop (yes they could use this advantage) 40% if you are melee, 20% if you are ranged
Pirate - 25% if you are ranged 50% if you are melee
Thief - 25% if you are ranged 45% if you are melee
And as mentioned above, it should cap at 90%, maybe even cap at 85%.
What Im trying to prove is that, giving more dmg from link skills is fine. Giving survivability is WRONG (% Hp/Mp is fine).
