It's hard for me to explain exactly why I like the Cygnus Knights. One of the main reasons is the instructor's designs, they got the best character design among most characters in this game (along with pimp Phantom and Demon Avenger). I love the concept (as cliche as it might be) of the 5 knights chosen to protect the young heir of the maple kingdom, that each one is guarded by 1 element, that Oz' char design leaves angelic bursters in the dust when it comes to cuteness. If it were me I would make the 5 captains the playable characters for each class and change the story so the knights they comand are those birds that Shinsoo creates (just like in Aswan).
You know what they could have easily done?
Created some Level 180, 190, or 200 area that went along with the storyline that marks the buff for the Cygnus Knights.
There are so many missed opportunities to make content, but instead we just get revamps time and time again. I cannot believe that every single developer at Nexon Korea is solely focused on revamps....what is everyone else doing? Seems like they do less work than I do at my job (And I do almost nothing and get paid for it).
A game like MapleStory should have a rather large development team. It's Nexon's flagship title! I really would not have an issue with their revamps if we got something content related with it. Revamps do not take all that much effort, and it takes usually minimal coding. The characters they add do not add massively innovative systems, I'm sure I could program that pomegranate if I wanted to. We give them all kinds of money, and what exactly do we ever get for it? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
