The biggest problem here is that it would all have to be timed perfectly. Thresh would have to toss out a lantern near the enemy team and start to Teleport almost immediately, Skarner would have to time impaling an enemy and then triggering the lantern as soon Thresh's Teleport is complete.
I just don't think Skarner will be able to activate the lantern while he has someone in his ult. And if he can, it will likely be fixed because being able to pull someone into your fountain is something that Riot generally doesn't allow.
