Jayce is easy to play and win lane with the fact that he can farm extremely well and if you land a Gate'd Q you're going to burst them for a huge chunk of their health, landing an early q or 2 can easily snowball the lane for you because you bully people so well like that.
I find that Jayce is easier to play once you stop trying to stay in one form. I switched forms more often and started doing better.
