Hacking ain't bad in MSEA, well at least not that bad comparing to servers mentioned.
EMS basically runs by hackers, I don't know how long has it been since I saw a complete legit player there (oh, don't start the what-is-legit/illegit topic here).
GMS is different in terms of hacking compare to MSEA, MSEA hackers only hack to get stuff out of the game easier that's obtainable by others as well. GMS hackers have ways to get something non-existence in game (at least, not suppose to) and dupe the hell out of it.
The thing that made us MSEA players feel miserable is the company hosting it, I have zero idea why they did so many thing to make MSEA players so much weaker compare to players from other versions. Taking my captain as example, he's hitting 500k and people call me "pro" in MSEA, my KMS and GMS char hitting 700~800k easily, no one say a dam thing. My EMS character, too weak to be taken into account.
Why are we weaker overall you say? Asiasoft said we SEA players are VERY VERY efficient so they have to nerf everything, totally make sense.
It's true that hacking isn't as extreme in MSEA in terms of skill as we certainly don't have instances of duping as bad as what happens in GMS, but that matters very little when this game is quickly approaching the level where things are becoming unaffordable. Again, I stress that MSEA is worse off than every other server except for EMS mainly because expensive cash items, botting and removals of just about every item that could actually make us become more efficient results in a playerbase that can't even solo Cygnus and that opens Cygnus up to the hacker's advantage since they can and if prices inflate enough a lot of people are not even going to bother to question if they would buy these equips since they can't afford it or won't pay the price given by the legitimate players.
That in turn gives less incentive for people to cube if both MLTC and Cygnus are dominated by hackers as they wouldn't be able to earn the cash used and with the playerbase already getting pissed off with each additional nerf or instance of hackers taking over an event it means people are going to quit. There was indeed a time when GMS was unbearable for players as due to hackers being everywhere and the presence of tons of duped items but you can at least say that Nexon is doing something now while Asiasoft is doing jacksquat and would most likely close off the Cygnus chamber again while re-introducing the Music Box with the Cygnus Cane in it.
This is my perspective, at least.
EDIT: It's also worth mentioning that the hackers are now so emboldened as to achieve world records in party quests.
