If I was DCed on my laptop for whatever reason (random, CCing, skill overload?), then I got the firewall message if I was logged onto my desktop. I was able to replicate this and I didn't even need to restart the game on my desktop, just logoff to the login screen. I thought it was a local network problem, but what Aflac noted got me thinking.
I experienced this on Sunday. I haven't been able to figure out what triggers the "lock", but when it happens the only way to disengage the lock is to sever all connections to maple servers and possibly reset router/modem or wait. The lock conditions involve something to do with changing channels/cash shop/logging in, it doesn't have to do with the number of accounts at all. Last time it took somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-16 hours before it got really bad, let's see how long it takes for the problem to resurface.
