I and a bunch of friends were getting the "firewall issue" (is that what we're calling it?) yesterday. I had issues with both my desktop and laptop. I also got a really weird error when I tried to trade-xfer something and I got an error message that read something to the effect of "because the game files are damaged, you cannot participate in item trades". Tried the trade again and it worked fine. Incredibly odd.
