They have intranet sites for internal posting of patches, why would they need to start posting in on the public intranet, which previously was only for posting live-and-ready-to-consume patches that have already been tested?
I lean more towards this being a pre-patch preventative. They likely byte swap the real CRC in when they feel confident it's safe to do so.
Did you read the rest of my assertion? I also included the ideas that it's pre-patch prevention as well as many ways they might be utilizing a different CRC.
Also, this hasn't only been Nexon doing this. MSEA and EMS have been screwing with their patch checksums as well. This is optional IT policy that's common across the company.
