Reaction-based society at its finest. I think it's totally relevant; people don't do pomegranate about something, even if they know it's wrong, until it has some effect on them. Until then, they just turn a blind eye. I think gun control debates starting up at this point is almost as classless as no gun control debates starting up because of it.
Either way, the powers that be are douches, following talking points written by someone else to a letter instead of thinking for themselves for one goddamn second. I saw Obama's address today. Yeah, sure, touching and all that, look at the president he is so fucking sensitive he's crying about little kids; until you notice that during most of the address he's looking down at the sheet of paper his PR guys wrote out for him. He really needed to parrot out someone else's opinion for THIS? If there were any time for a REAL speech, it would be now. I'm not saying most other presidents haven't done the same thing, but regardless of how many times I see it, it's still insulting in so many ways.
