Overall though, this update is really sad.
For those who have a level 200, and don't feel like giving in to Nexon's push to start over with new class every few months, what is there left to do?
1- Upgrade equips? Why bother when however much time and money you spend, Nexon does its best to make whatever you get worthless, outclassed, obsolete some months later (as this update does). Plus past a certain point it gets crazy expensive anyway.
2- New quests and events? Collect stuff? OK, but this usually doesn't hold my interest for long. Rewards usually not much anyway -untradeable equips or scrolls which I never seem to use.
3- So left with --Bossing. So with this KMS update, any boss past HT is only doable with a full party of godly players. I'm not that godly, and never will be because too cheap. There may be only a few guilds per server active and godly enough to take on these bosses, and chances are they wouldn't want less-than-godlies like me tagging along , because organizing these runs will be a big deal that they won't do very often, and they will need the maximum firepower they can get to finish in under 30 minutes.
So most of us will be left with only regular Zak and HT. Zak is too easy and since the drop rate nerf almost never drops anything worthwhile. Setting up expedition mules may take more time than it does to kill. HT makes you wait a half hour and still drops nothing of use (once you already have the pendant and card). If these bosses are all that will be left for me, things will get boring rather quickly.
Probably I should just give up when this comes to GMS. The entertainment to effort+expense ratio is rapidly approaching zero.
Highlighting this for emphasis. A friend of mine gave me a good argument that it's not wrong to spend on MS if you want to do bossing so long as you enjoy it, but in the end there are a lot of entertainment options available for all of us that could cost less than MS if it's continuing in this trend. In fact, since I like exploring the storyline more I could easily just play without paying if Nexon doesn't stop with this crap and spend my money on other things like books, movies and worthwhile video games.
They just don't seem to understand how much cubing costs, how much a regular person could do with that money and why a lot of people would prefer to buy pre-cubed equips because the gambling is just not worth it. It's things like this and the continual neglect of actual content and storyline that makes me stay at the sidelines of making purchases because I prefer to use gaming skill to enjoy games rather than paying to win and I don't like this trend of not updating the storyline.
