Good job Nexon, but too little too late in a lot of cases. The godly-funded hackers and cheaters have benefited from dupes for so long that this won't really effect them. For instance, some person with 700k range losing gear to make it 300k range can just go "F3, lemme just use all those millions/billions of mesos/NX I've made from selling loads of duped stuff over the years to get my range back up to 700k in a week".
What Nexon should be doing from now on is make removals like this EVERY week and be more thorough each time (of course I'm sure they've missed some things). They should focus more and more on the source of the problem (including the duped scrolls used to make such gear), not the outcome. Making huge removals like this every couple of months won't do anything to deter the hackers. The fact that there's still some duping methods out there (unless I'm mistaken) does not help either.
