Your defenses are looking pretty good for a Tinkerer too.
(For reference, my Saint has 7k phys defense, which is 50% phys damage reduction, and 10k magic defense, which is 65% magic damage reduction. Clerics have naturally high HP and defenses, to the point where we pretty much have 3x the survivability of just about every other class... I took off my armor in Titan Nest and watched in horror as I suddenly went from taking 2-5k hits to upwards of 15k+ from just about everything. T4 made defense the god stat, truly.)
Yeah, the spike attack is just what the hell. There's literally no warning where it will come out of, other than him putting his hands onto the floor. However, since it is a multi-hit attack, having a Saint with Holy Shield completely neutralizes his attacks (even healing you) as long as the buff is active. Without a Saint and all your evasions on CD, you're pretty much screwed if you get caught.
Yes, Holy Shield is a party buff. I am surprised at the amount of people that don't know this, other Saints included.
