First of all, you can't do a blood transfusion in the middle of a forest, except if there's a specialist with you. Then again, you'd need the proper conditions and materials to do so. I mean, you can't just pour blood into a cup and put a straw into the person's arm to transfuse it.

But yeah, I have to agree about the fact it is more than useful for extreme situations. If that's the case, dropping by a clinique is useful. But usually, doctors are supposed to write it in your birth certificate right after your birth or something. I think that normally, your parents or a tutor is supposed to have a copy of the birth certificate. It should be mentioned in passports too.

I didn't get your second example, though.
