If I'm not mistaken, Romney's plans to reduce deficit spending were to cut and cap federal spending by 20% (this would likely be rejected), cut programs we cannot afford ie Obamacare (relegate it to federal Romneycare putting more burden on the state), and this is emphasized even by a third point to send programs back to the states implying this would be more efficient and effective. All of these point to delegating responsibility from the national to the federal and actually dodging responsibility for shouldering debt by putting the responsibility on the state. I don't love Obama, but you can hardly say that Romney had a stellar plan for reducing out deficit if that is the primary point you are making. And if I'm misunderstanding then please correct me.
