My favorite old 2x event was the 2x Fridays they used to have. It was 4 2x events, each 2 hours long with 2 hours in between. (8-10 am 2x, then 12-2pm, then 4-6pm, then 8-10pm) They did it every Friday for about 8 weeks (all of august and september, I believe). It gave many people at least a good 2 hour window of 2x that was usable in their time zone.
