Oh God. The comments are so retarded it's not even funny. They've only got like, half the picture and they're freaking COMPLAINING about non-existent plot holes.

Someone even posts about the LN translation project and says they should read it in addition to watching the anime. Does anybody listen? NOPE.

I so want to make a jab at them, but honestly, I can't be bothered to make an account on Kotaku just to chide people for their idiocy.

In case anybody has similar issues:

 Addressing Concerns

Q: Won't they die if they're hooked up to the machine for two years without medical support?
A: The anime doesn't mention this at all, but Kayaba Akihiko designed the NerveGear to allow an hour's disconnection without frying the user's brain so that they can be evacuated to nearby hospitals. Of course, their "souls" are still apparently trapped in the game without any problems arising due to the disconnection (we aren't really told much about it, actually). Oh, and if someone attempts to remove the NerveGear within that hour, their brains get fried anyway.

Q: Players have unnatural hair colours?
A: It's anime. Hello? Anyway, the LNs also mention in "Warmth of the Heart" that there is a method to change hair colour in-game; sure, people get stuck with their default hair to begin with, but that doesn't mean they can't change them.

Q: Why is Kirito the only player who can dual-wield?
A: Any player can dual-wield; it's just that they will not be able to activate any sword skills while doing so unless they have the Dual Blades skill, so no one bothers. Dual Blades is a Unique Skill, granted by the system to the player with the highest reaction speed...who just happened to be Kirito.

Q: The relationship between Kirito and Asuna is too rushed!
A: There's a freaking 2 year timeskip between episode 1 and episode 9. There's only like 3 or 4 days from episode 9 till they hook up for real. Their relationship isn't rushed; we just don't see 99% of it.

And people should stop using episode 2 as a benchmark. It was pineappleing horrible.
