It's probably totally irrelevant, but I stabilized my system some by disabling some raid/sata options in my bios and disabling hyper threading, which may be relevant if you are either running with just one hard drive and/or a processor with hyper threading capabilities. I'd also do some basic stuff like plugging the computer into different wall sockets and trying with and without various surge protectors/splitters or whatever it may be.
