As far as I know only the music producers & some voice actors are in the LPS team, so there's no telling whether or not the writing aspect of the show will actually be as good as MLP.
And this show kinda reeks of ripoff stench. Even the pink monkey, who had only a brief second reminds me of a certain pony. I'm still not sure yet. Who knows if the show will actually live up to my expectations (by expectations I mean at least be better than the Care Bears 2012).
And what do you mean "this show isn't gonna last for another 5 years"? Unless you mean the quality won't sustain for long, MLP's gonna be a cashcow for the Hub until it depreciates of ratings or the Hub ceases to continue. Take a look at the Simpsons, Family Guy, Spongebob, Fairy Oddparents, Adventure Time, Regular Show and recently and probably will be, Korra & TMNT 2012.
