That doesn't mean you build no damage and completely useless items.
It's like building something like On-hit Teemo, its simply for fun but its not a completely useless build, but instead you build something pomegranatety like Wriggles, Trinity, Maw, and a Ghostblade, and expect to do something at Top lane.
One is playing to have fun the other is not knowing what you're doing.

Different people just have different versions of "fun." I know some people who only have fun when they win. I don't agree with it, but I can understand it.
That's what elo's for, to separate the players who play terribly but still have fun and those who play well.
