Yeah the cranes seems all to be a sad story. Crane jr/ lonerboy seems to be a kid with no friends, probably not very rich either, probably also only child.

Also the main players Andrew and Yang will probably escape any legal action unharmed. since they live in china. they will also have kept most of the money from the sites, leaving the american kids stranded and with huge debts from the legal dispute. Though at most they will probably never be able to enter the US ever again if they get a default judgement, or risk having to pay the judgement.
also a note on Crane's defense of jurisdiction
Yes, what he should have done in original submission is challenge jurisdiction alone and not engage with any other elements of the case. By saying stuff like their case is wrong etc he is accepting jurisdiction.
