I think a good fix would be make it sort of like block. When you use Guardian Force you use up all your bubbles to give everyone in the party 1(or 2) blocks per bubble.
About the Old Maury's Harvest Challenge, I'll be done with my Pally today and not sure if I should do it on my other characters, Merc and SM. Any ideas on what I should do?
