Quote:I honestly don't see how this company still remains reputable (outside of those who actually play their games, of course.)Because as bad as they are, there's worse. (Most of the problems with Maple Story that people complain about and blame them for are actually the fault of Maple Story its self anyway.)
nTreev (Or whatever they call themselves these days.)..... Need I say any more?
Twelve Foot Tall, who was the first to take Lunia off of GamenGame's hands. At first they did pretty well, then suddenly they made the new raids cash shop only when you get keys as drops for free in the other versions, made a character who is unlocked through a quest cash shop only, then they pretty much stopped updating and went under.....
Kill3r Combo, only hosts one game so far. (Elsword) And although they've started out great, they've become increasingly incompetent. Updates have gotten slower. (Keep in mind that they only host ONE game so far, and it's over a year behind the korean version, while Nexon NA hosts multiple games, and I know for a fact that Maple Story and Vindictus are merely six months or less behind their korean versions.) There was a memory leak a while back. And most recently, when the game's latest character came out, the game was down for most people the entire day. SOME people were able to get into the server and steal names for the character that some of us had reserved, but instead of doing the responsible thing and taking the servers down until they're fully functional, they let this persist for most of the day. The worst I seen from Nexon was when they first added 24 man raids in Vindictus, which are on dedicated servers instead of the game's usual peer to peer. You couldn't get into the raids normally, but you could still get into them by doing an annoying method, and at least the rest of the game still functioned.
And to top it all off, they have the honor of being the only NA company that is utterly pineappleing stupid enough to not remove a kMMO's Stamina system in the NA release. Yep.
Gamania/Beanfun, aka the company that hosts Maple Story in Taiwan. Take all the complaints about Nexon NA.
.....Now double them.
And I know of their incompetence first hand. They also host the TW version of Elsword, which I played for a year before the NA version was announced. When they released some job advancements, the miniboss wasn't dropping the drop for the quest. The only ones who had the new job advancement were those who bought it through Cash Shop. They insisted that they did internal tests and that the drop was dropping as normal.
.....Yep.
