While I'm all for wiping the slate clean, and it's not a bad idea, they made a bit of a misstep.

There's obviously some inadequate compensation here, for such serious issues.

Assuming they are planning to allow resubmission of old tickets, and provide adequate responses, then I see this as fine; it will just clean out the backlog and let them start fresh.

Now, if this is all the compensation people will get, and they are not allowed to resubmit old tickets, then I think they seriously need to check themselves.
