Read new tickets and actually be able to do something with them. Find and fix more new bugs and compensate more recent issues.
The whole "powerless" trip you're on is the reason I'm bothering to reply. Yes, tickets are usually pointless. Yes, a majority of the backlog is no longer relevant. You are right in those regards. However, you are missing the larger point: This is a huge embarrassment for Nexon and anyone still actively playing this game. This should have never happened. To possess a backlog of unfinished work trailing back this far is just pathetic for such a massive operation. While it is a good thing that they are finally "addressing" all these tickets and that they are admitting to a fault, Nexon has publicly shamed their customer support, something outrageous for such a business. It's Nexon admitting a ridiculous, almost humorous blunder. That's the issue here.
Yay, Nexon just humiliated themselves. But, they are on the right track, which is still going to take quite a lot of time if this is supposed to be something newsworthy in the large scheme of things.
