Teacher cuts pupil's hair, mum files police report

I spoke with my ex-teachers about this incident. They came to the same conclusion as I did - the teacher shouldn't have cut the student's hair before the examination, and additionally should only have done so if she had first called the parent up. While they all focused on the first part of the conclusion, they also agreed with my point that the (chief) presiding officer(s) have every power to remove the student from the examination [see earlier posts on options available to the officers]. Better to be safe than sorry, but at the same time, doing what might seem to be in best intentions will only lead to major problems. But I've no idea what the teacher was thinking when she cut his hair.
