Welp, good thing I didn't want to buy NX anyway.

All of the Dark CK headgear works like that, as should have been readily apparent from the Irena one that came out quite a while back. It would be nice to have normal CK headgear, though, as others have mentioned -- just the actual mask or helm or what-have-you, without the shadow and the CK's hair.

OTOH it's a good way to flip the bird at genderlocked faces/hairstyles/etc.
