It is definitely not a scam. I went to the local 7-11 here, filled up on gas for like under $20, and got a Java Slurpee with the code on the cup. I went back to my apartment, entered the code, and got my 90 minute 7-11 card. But like a few people have already suggested, it is possible that some douchebag went in and coped some of the codes down. And trust me, it's NOT that hard to do. If I wasn't a decent human being, I could have stolen about 20 codes if I really wanted to.
