See, you're trying to give that input without actually understanding the problem and why things are the way they are.

If GMS rebuilt everything from scratch they'd no longer be compatible with KMS.
If KMS rebuilt everything from scratch no one would get updates until it finished and that's a year plus project.

Telling them to fix their specific issues is going to have far more impact than just telling them to rebuild the entire thing from the ground up. The first is a specific measureable action with defined parameters, the second is thousands of those, with endless test cases, scope creep and who knows what else.
