Guild Wars 2
Dusk Wrote:You people are insane. Level 15 now.

By the way, does anyone know where I'm supposed to go at level 15 as a Charr? I finished all the heart quests in Plains of Ashford so I headed north to Diessa Plateau. The zone is supposedly level 15 - 25 but there are level 22 - 24 mobs all around the entrance to the zone, and they one shot me. (I have 1.4k hp, they actually hit me for 1.4k). What am I doing wrong?

I have been doing other Starter Zones, since the EXP you gain is based on your actual level. It's decent exp, and a good way to grind if you need to. The Sylvari Personal Story I'm doing has a similar issue. It sent me to some area that was my level for a while, then after like 3-4 missions/hearts the enemy level sky rocketed to 24-26, and I was still 20, causing me to get slaughtered.

Got to 25, done about 70% of Kessex hills (already 100%ed Caledon Forest and Brisban Wildlands). Taking my time doing everything, I'm not in a hurry. That and I suddenly find myself with tons of other things to do now the game has launched (cruel, cruel irony).

Sitting at level 52, going to try for 60 today. For those that want it, my tag is Tylar.5941.

Did you go back and forth between starting areas? I went back to the 15-25 charr area so that I could do the 25-35 area easier. I'm not sure if this was the efficient way to do it

WvW gives decent exp once you hit 30 and your world is "winning."

I'm like level...23? 100% human starting city, the area around it, and the Sylvari city. Trying to 100% the area around the Sylvari city.

I figured out what it was; I was entering Diessa from Plains of Ashford, which puts you in the middle of level 23-24 mobs. You're supposed to go from Black Citadel.

Decent? If you can join the zerg rush, it's really fast. It's just not as consistent as zerg rushing PvE with a large group of people.

AND DO JUMP PUZZLES WITH ME, YOU BUM.

Yes, this is what I did. In the later levels, you'll need to be switching back and forth between areas to be able to finish them. I just had to do it for the 3ish time. I like it though, because my goal is to get to 80 without crafting exp and this makes it a little more fun.

Edit: Updated Progress

Level 62 with 30%. Going to try to tackle this zone tomorrow, well, tonight. Tongue

The Crazy part is that is only 36% of the entire game map. It looks like a lot too, but I gotta stop looking at those pictures because I'm spoiling it for myself.

Is anyone else having issues setting their Serial Code to their account? When I try to add mine (found out you need to do it from register.guildwars2.com), it makes me reset my Personal Information and my Game Tag, and I fear that it will cause my current character and account to get unlinked with my user account and have to start over.

The site is still very buggy right now. Every time I log in, it asks me to register my email, even though I've already sent the registration email about 10 times and the link never works.

Thank god I preordered the digital copy.

That actually worked for me this morning.

Also, after having a conversation with GW2's support through Twitter, I found out that even if it makes you re-enter your game ID and gives you a different number, it won't matter. They need to put that on their registration site somewhere.

Nope. The game is literally scaled in a way that makes it seem like each level is the same.

I don't think getting to level 80 really means anything other than that you've capped your stats/trait points. There's a bunch more areas to do for 100% completion and then cosmetic items to grind for.

Is there any way to buy blue or green weapons that are at my level? I'm having trouble keeping my gear up to date without the guaranteed flow of items from questing that I'm used to from WoW. I was getting creamed by level 20 mobs because I've been stuck with the same set of pistols since I was level 3 or 4. Then I found a green dagger and a pretty decent blue dagger at my level and switched to those, and everything suddenly became way easier. But I already specced towards a dual pistol build and I want to keep using those...
