3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton
Me forgot, will there be DLC downloads available in the future? Someting he can save that $20 points for?

Not for Mario Kart or Mario Tennis there won't. Although I would really like some more Mario Kart Cups, it's a shame nintendo didn't start supporting DLC until a while after MK 7 was done.
Majora's Mask 3DS on the way?

Nintendo Direct is tomorrow, so we'll know.
No Europe/NA conference makes me think not much will be announced.

Most interesting thing in the announcement for me. Looks good for an eShop game.
 Spoiler
Hnnngghhh.

Jason Schrier of Kotaku (their RPG writer) says Paper Mario feels a lot like Legend of the Seven Stars. He's usually very accurate and I respect his opinions a lot so... thought I'd let you all know his analysis to increase hype!
Ah well. It really sounds like this isn't going to be the paper mario game for me. I tried, but I couldn't enjoy Legend of the seven stars when I tried it on the wii virtual console.

I'll buy it anyway.

I LOVED LoSS a long time ago but can't play it now, simply because it's one of those old games. I think that just because this "feels" like that in some spiritual way doesn't mean it's going to play or be some strange carbon copy of it. Shouldn't write it off just yet.

...I'd love to see Croco come back though. Damn you, Square-Enix.
Finally some details on Ace Attorney 5. Confirmed for 3DS.

Phoenix is back!

It’s set 1 year after 4 and he has a new companion. Oh and characters have 3D models now.

Now to wait and see if it’s even translated. pineappleing Capcom. Rolleyes
It's not going to get translated. Prove me wrong capcom. please
I have to say with fire emblem, Phoenix and perhaps mario I'm starting to think the 3ds is worth the buy for me now

hnnngghhhhh paper mario has a fucking WORLD MAP.

I call bullshit until I see a full English trailer.

I still don't forgive Capcom for not giving us AAI2.

On the other hand, they should hopefully make some new fans with Layton VS Ace Attorney (which will no doubt be a multimillion seller, like all the layton games), meaning this one might not be a terrible flop sales wise... like all the other Ace Attorney games.
,
One could dream and hope they package AA5 and AAI2 together for the western release. But Capcom don’t even let you play everything on the disc you bought so unlikely. At the very least a 3DS E Shop release.

The official website is up now too. Link

As for Paper Mario is anyone else bummed that there are no partners?
Lack of partners in Paper Mario makes me a sad panda :<

...Isn't it a bad thing? I prefer properly connected worlds, rather than the New Super Mario Bros. type map Sticker Star appears to have. I guess in some ways, spending time walking between places is archaic, but I'd still rather have it in.

At first I thought they were doing it because of the whole handheld thing, but the first two mario and luigi games didn't have "stage" based worlds, neither did Bowsers inside story for the Bowser half (which undoubtably the better half).

I guess I'm just seeing too much Super Paper mario in this, and not enough Thousand year door Sad

Incredibly unlikely. I think, if we do see it as a western release, it'll be a (ugh) iOS game.

Well, there's no evidence of what type of world map it is yet and considering Jason wrote a piece on "overworlds" like old FF games and linked to it when he said that, I feel like that's the type of world map it has. Which could be kind of really cool. Imagine Paper Mario... WITH AN AIRSHIP!!! Hahahahaha that would be fucking awesome.
