Ignore Def % Limit?

first of all even if her amibition is working it only 98% and it does hit more dmg u nub

2nd of all i still think that her range say if ambition is working then she should hit some 55k i havnt seem that
what about the min dmg?

maybe ambition is only half work? like it only 5% not 10% who knew?

hitting your maximum is incredibly hard, you know of bell's curve right? so we only check to hit for the range that proves or disproves something.

i checked a good while ago the ambition bonus and it was working fine too. dunno where that thread went though.

I am satisfied that my Ambition works fully. I am not going to waste my time, potions, and disk space working to disprove your wild conjecture. Why would Ambition work only halfway?
In about two months my Combat Mastery should have 10% more Ignore Def, until then I have no way of "get 10% more and you'll hit more damage".

This time, you do the work. Take a video of yourself fighting for five minutes. Go over it hit by hit and write down the exact range of observed damage. Compare that range to your nominal range, and then you tell us whether Ambition works halfway or only 2/7 of the way.

Try using regular attacks instead of Finishing Blow and see if you get the same results. Also try getting someone else to corroborate your damages, because we know sometimes displayed damage is not actual damage (e.g. 999,999 mage glitch). I think this second part should apply to both [MENTION=4093]SaptaZapta[/MENTION]; and [MENTION=10062]Question[/MENTION];, at their convenience of course. This is interesting. I might mess around on my Shadower later tonight if I have a block of time to spare.

reg attack? like normal ? LOL? you dont understand mage....

reg attack on magic is weapon attack dmg... reg attack mage can attack super magic def up

reg attack has no effect of boost tell the diff.... meaning the range it is show for my class is magic attack range
there no range to show for physical attack....

meaning all the magic attack boost only give dmg to magic attack range not weapon attack and estaff has some weapon attack that dmg is only given to weapon dmg range...

ambition may probably work on reg attack but it might not work on skill attack... if u 100% believe it work im ok but as for mage it seem to be a problem

I have a strong possibility that ambition may only work on [COLOR="#0000FF"]weapon attack skill but not magic attack skill[/COLOR]

Let's say I am fighting PB, which has 70% PDR, right?

Well if I go and attack it since I have 112% ignore.

30% from my bow
21% nebulite
6% Ambition
30% leafre set
25% from marksmanship

Alright so out of that 30% and 30% are the highest ignores I have so what someone told me it does is this:

70%-30% = 49% - 30% =34.3 - 25% = 25.725 = 20.32275 - 6% = 19.013385%

no they do stack but 100% is max this is fault if this is true then u cant never hit the same dmg on all mob

Question is, surprisingly, right for once. It seems mages have a bug with ignore PDR though that's really all that is known, we don't know what source is actually bugged since everyone seems to have everything.

Ignore def % is additive. If you have that much ignore, you can test it on Azwan hell mode mobs (70% pdr) to confirm that your damage isn't getting reduced. My Blaze is hitting the same on those and orange mushrooms, so it appears that it's additive for me.

it seems ambition's PDR ignore is only PDR, not MDR too, and that the quintuple blow and such skills of the BaM also don't have any MDR ignore

I use DMG*(1-DEF*(1-MDR)) for my spreadsheet. DEF = 70% and MDR = 0% or 8.5%

Since the ranges don't overlap at all, we only need 1 data point. 13XXXX hits mean that ambition is not being applied and 15XXXX hits means ambition is being applied.
