How do I complete the Red Leaf High math quiz room?

I've done RLF twice, and the main time waster has been this room. And due to the conflicting experiences, I'm not sure how exactly one should go about it.

First time, I did the math problems three times, called me a dummy for getting them right, then said she ran out of questions, and let me pass.

Second time, I just put 0, she still called me a dummy, so I just did that a bunch of times, wasn't letting me pass, then I started doing the problems, got one for which the correct answer is above 3000, which it won't let me enter a number higher than, then just resorted to answering 0 a bunch of times because I was running out of time, and then she let me pass.

So, what exactly is the goal? Just keep on giving her answers, whether they're right or wrong, until she lets me pass? Or do correct answers help it go faster?

I just use the Windows calculator that came with my Window XP. Hasn't failed me yet.
1) Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Calculator
or Run... -> calc
2) View->Scientific. If you use "Standard" view you will get the wrong answer.
3) Type in the problem exactly as she gives it (asterisk for multiplication sign, obviously)
4) Copy the answer into the text window.
5) Pass

Make sure you do order of operation, the windows calculate does not do it. Just do the multiplication part then the addition.

I just told him how I do it. I have passed the math quiz room on first attempt about half a dozen times already doing exactly what I wrote. Either the Windows calculator is smarter than you think, or Kumi is dumber.

If you type the question exactly like Kumi gives it you wont get the right answer, if you use order of operations you will, otherwise you get a different answer.

Ah, I found the issue.
I'm using Scientific View.
"Standard View" doesn't know order of operations, but "Scientific" does.
Guess Microsoft thinks non-scientists are necessarily mathematical morons.
I'll fix my previous post to stress this point.

So far I've only had it 2 times where order of operations did not work, but that's rare.

I've had no problems on three accounts.

I have had no problems in over 50 runs.

linear: ((50+20) * 50) + 20 = 4520 = WRONG

do the multiplication first

I typed mine into google until I got to 4k points. wasn't wrong once

To add to this, has anyone had a question that was not in a W + X * Y + Z format? I've had the same format every single time (20+) so it might just be easier to tell people X * Y + W + Z.

Whoops, yeah mine was on standard, the other versions work fine.

Idk, teach a man to fish? I think its better for everyone if they just learned a tiny bit more about math for their own sake.

Alternatively what you may want to do is spam enter and y. You'll continue to get a wrong answer but she has limited question stock and will eventually just let you pass.

I can't imagine spamming wrong answers would be faster than quickly calculating the right answer, with or without mechanical assistance.

It never ceases to surprise me how many people have an issue with that quiz. I think Nexon should do more math related questions. They can educate us while they empty our wallets.

Just why I tend to have my iPod at hand during those stages. I usually do the multiplying and then the addition when I have it running as a calculator.

I came across two people having a conversion in game today. One was telling the other that there is no correct answer for the maths quiz. The other one replied something like FK NEXON TROLLS.

It’s really amazing how many people seem to struggle with basic mathematics.
